walked the other way. She had a crush

on Darren, so Jonah was certain she

wouldn’t tell anyone. But oh, was

Ms.Carrie, the costumer, MAD when

she saw what happened. It took the

girls and Ms. Carrie 20 minutes to get

everything sorted again.

Jonah felt guilty, but Teddy and the

others laughed; so he was glad he’d

taken part. It made him feel grown-up

too—and best of all, part of the group.

That was the coolest thing. Maybe

the ghost light was a good luck charm

instead of a bad one.
